Coat of My Dreams
Hey Alexa, play Thrift Shop by Macklemore (Thanks Xtina for the reference lol).
Today I am talking about the coat of my dreams that my lovely sister and mother found for me. Typically, I avoid the fur coat section at a thrift store because the coats are usually like $60-$200. I have a million coats and really don’t need another but when my mom and sister ran up to me with this coat and it was only $20!!!! I had to have it.
This coat is giving me Shrimps SS20 vibes as well as all those 70s vibes which I’m v into. If I am not rocking some 90s vibes, you know I am rocking all the 70s vibes and this coat allows me to do it so effortlessly. Paired with this iconic 90s dress, I am sporting both of my favourite decades.
The one and only downfall of secondhand shopping is that I can’t share a link with you lot but if you really want a coat like this, go look at a thrift shop as there are usually tons, just at a higher price tag than what I found this coat at. But honestly, the coat is worth it.
This thrifting experience taught me a valuable lesson to leave no section untouched as you never know what you might find. That being said, if you don’t look you won’t be sad about missing something because you never knew it existed. Sometimes I do go thrift with one or two sections only in mind so I won’t be there for hours but if you really want to find the GEMS you have to look at the entire store.
It would be great to keep sharing thrift finds with you guys. Personally, I love seeing what people find at the thrift stores so I would love to share my finds too. I was also planning on doing some hauls as well. I don’t know if that should be a blog moment, IGTV moment (I recently uploaded one to IGTV), or just a plain IG story moment.
