Long Time No Chat

Kiana Seitz

Hey my dudes!
Long time no talk… I miss you. I am sorry it has been so long since I wrote a post. I don’t want to use the excuse that it has been a crazy year but truly, it has. The past year and a bit has had some of my highest highs and lowest lows I have had in my life. Life sort of shook me a wee bit… okay a lot. However, I’m feeling a lot better now.

If you have been following me on Instagram, you might have noticed a shift in my style. I’m no longer the girl who dresses like a rainbow or just wears a ton of colour. Now, i’m into band tee’s and jeans. Recently though, I have been merging these two aesthetics together. I’ll wear band tees with a colourful long sleeve underneath. I’m using makeup and accessories as my pop of colour.

I’m tired of trying to fit a mold and wearing what people expect me to wear. This year is the year that I do whatever the bloody heck I want, wear whatever the bloody heck I want and truly be the girl everyone but me sees me as; a super confident, bad-ass lady, who does not care one bit about what people think of me.

This post is a bit of a weird one. It’s kinda a bit ranty and went off on a tangent. But basically the main point of this is to say I’m back but I’m not putting pressure on myself to write a certain amount of posts a week. I’m itching to connect with you again and share my recent spurt of creativity and inspiration.

I have a new found love of painting and drawing. Both of these push me outside of my colour and pattern comfort zone which inspires me to make some bomb fits. I’ve also fallin’ back in love with reading and have been pulling tons of inspiration from the characters in the books (Would you like to see a bookclub-esq post from me?).

My recent trip to Tanzania also gave me a ton of inspiration. The art is so colourful and vibrant in Tanzania; this trip really brought my love of colour back. The animals also made me want to wear all the animal print.

I digress again… lol sorry for this all over the map blog post but hopefully there will be another one soon!

Please take a look at my Instagram if you fancy seeing what I’ve been up to lately. Hopefully I will chat with ya soon! I’ve been on a few trips this past year that I’d love to share as well as my love of vintage, thrifting and sustainable fashion. Let me know if there is anything in specific you would like to see.

Talk soon,
Kiana

P.S. as I read over this article one last time, add photos and get ready to post it, it has been exactly TWO WHOLE YEARS since I launched my blog. What a great time to come back! I’m already starting my next post and I’m absolutely chuffed.
