Biker Shorts and a Song
Hi,
I am back with another outfit based on a song, this time featuring some biker shorts! This song is by one of my favourite bands of all time, Queen!
This fit is based off of Bicycle Race by Queen so of course the shots needed a cute bike and some biker shorts. As the weather continues to change while we are still in quarantine, bike shorts are perfect to replace your sweats and/or leggings. Bike shorts are super comfortable while still allowing you to show some leg as the temperature rises.
I threw together this quick fit that feels comfy and casual while still looking relatively put together. Bike shorts and a long, oversized tee is a dream combo and perfect for a WFH moment. Have a zoom call? Add an oversized blazer for the perfect comfy, girl boss moment. Little does your team know you are rocking a tee that is so comfy it could be PJs and some super comfy biker shorts.
Getting up and getting ready for the day helps me get in a good head space to be productive. Days that I don’t change out of my PJs consist of sitting on the couch with a cup of whipped coffee (thanks Tik Tok) and watching That 70s Show. This is all fine and dandy until I’ve been doing this for a whole day and feel the need to be productive. Once I am done lounging, I will change my clothes and start working whether it is 9am or 2pm. I’m only working part-time right now so I have the luxury of starting later in the day which I know some people don’t. If you’re feeling unmotivated try literally just changing into a different set of loungewear as it really helps me. That being said, if you are able to just lounge around and watch movies and Netflix all day, do it. All the power to you!
The Fit
Now lets just dive a bit further into the fit. The biker shorts I bought for Tanzania with the intention of never wearing them again but here I am actually liking biker shorts and wanting to style them; this pair is from Old Navy. The T-shirt is thrifted Tommy Hilfiger but I will link a similar one here. The jean jacket is last season from Urban Outfitters but here is another version of a jacket from the same brand. The sunglasses are vintage but any small pair of sunnies will work great. The shoes are my beloved Dr. Marten platforms.
