My Summer Goals 2018
Hi my dudes!
Happy summer vacation to all my uni friends! I hope you all have had a fabulous first few weeks of break!
I am pretty excited for summer as this is the first time I will be in Ottawa during the summer. I am excited to see what the city is like during the warmer months.
With May upon us, I have decided to document my summer goals for 2018. I figured if I wrote them down for everyone to see than I might actually stick to them.
My first goal of the summer is to go downtown more often. During the school year I barely ever go downtown because of my lack of time but during the summer this is going to be something I prioritize. There are so many things going on that I do not want to miss out on.
Second, I want to improve my exercising habits. I love working out but often make it my last priority. Now that I am done all my extracurriculars and have been cleared to do certain types of cardio, I plan on going to the gym 4-5 times a week. This may seem like a lot at first but I tend to go big or go home. The more I jump into something, the more likely I am to commit to it. Once I get through the first couple weeks, it will be a habit and will be no problem for me.
My third goal for the summer is to be a better vegan. I have been vegan on and off for about 2 years now but it is finally time that I completely commit to it again without any cheats. Cheese is my weakness but with help from my family and friends I know I will be able to do it.
Next up is to try and do 5 minutes of French and 5 minutes of German practice everyday. I have been doing this for about two weeks now and have been doing pretty well. It is one of my goals in life to learn multiple languages and thanks to Duolingo, I am finally kick starting that goal.
My fifth goal is to read more. I have a decent stack of books that I have been wanting to read for so long and I am finally going to get to it. I am also in the process of re-reading Harry Potter so hopefully I can do that too.
My final goal is to take more time for the things I love. I love doing my makeup and baking delicious treats and I have been terrible at actually doing those things. I am lucky if I do my makeup like once a week. I miss getting creative with shadows and colour combinations and I hope to do more of this during the summer.
That is it for my goals. Now, onto the outfit. You’ve seen this skirt before in this blog post. I paired the skirt with my Zara faux leather jacket, a white tee, and my black platform converse sneakers.
JACKET – Zara (similar) | SKIRT – Forever 21 | TEE – Old Navy | SHOES – Converse | BAG – Michael Kors | HAT – Zara
This look is a go-to casual look for the weekend. A skirt, sneakers, a tee, and a leather jacket is a super easy look to throw together.
That is all for this week! Let me know what your summer goals are and keep me posted on your progress. See you next week!
